Penn State plans to resume on-campus work and learning in fall semester
Following a three-month comprehensive planning process, Penn State officials have determined that the University can meet or exceed the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s guidelines for colleges and universities, and look forward to welcoming back faculty, staff and students to resume on-campus, in-person classes and other activities this fall in a limited fashion.
Trustees approve across-the-board tuition freeze for 2020-21 academic year
The Penn State Board of Trustees Committee on Finance, Business and Capital Planning has recommended a $7 billion University operating budget for the 2020-21 academic year that advances a planned tuition freeze, announced in April, for all students University-wide in response to the ongoing economic challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Throughout the pandemic, Penn State has been working with local community leaders and stakeholders, both in the State College area and in neighboring communities across the commonwealth, to partner on strategies to limit the local impacts of COVID-19 through collaborative efforts informed by health and science.
